Our Assemblies

Our Assemblies

The Christians who make up the church at Wooley Springs are striving to worship God as directed in His inspired word.  Our aim is to speak where the Bible speaks and remain silent where the Bible is silent, doing “all in the name of the Lord” (2 Timothy 3:16-17; Colossians 3:17).  We accept no book but the Bible as our source for authority.

We pattern our worship after the New Testament pattern of worship, which is as follows:

  • Singing (Ephesians 5:19; Colossians 3:16; Hebrews 2:12)
  • Observing the Lord’s Supper on the first day of the week (Acts 20:7; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26)
  • Praying (Acts 2:42)
  • Teaching the Word of God (Acts 2:42; 20:7)
  • Giving on the first day of the week (1 Corinthians 16:1-2)

By following this pattern of worship, we believe we are following the infallible and safe course. Our primary goal is worship that is acceptable to God. Also, we desire to edify one another.  To accomplish these goals, we desire to respect Christ’s authority (Matthew 28:18; Colossians 3:17).

Our assemblies for worship are open to anyone. We invite you to come and experience one of our worship services for yourself. We will be glad to discuss any aspect of our worship service with you.
